A New Discovery black and white infrared landscapes of the Hawaiian islands.  I was privileged to reside on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai for two years and in that time I got to know the heart and soul of an absolutely stunning and quiet place.  Hawaii has a timeless quality and essence but is rapidly becoming a major tourist destination in the United States.  In 2004, I took on the challenge of documenting the paradise to which I feel so fondly connected.  I began the project largely out of a desire to preserve a beauty still largely unhampered by commercial development.  My hopes are to one day be published in a book, so that the images preserve Hawaii's natural beauty in a time capsule for future generations to discover and enjoy.
